
With the continued growth of the internet, digital solutions have become part of our everyday lives. With innovations like mobile money and other fintech services, the rise of tech startups aims to improve efficiency, create job opportunities, and cause transformation in many sectors in Uganda. The future of our economy is going to be influenced by digital and tech solutions. With this happening, however, there has been a slow response of policy to enable this industry to strive and when there is a policy response it is often contradicting the industry's needs. The event henceforth will aim to create a conversation between young economists and policymakers on how the economy can best prepare itself to harness this digital economy.
